"I think a good novel would be where a bunch of men on a ship are looking for a whale. They look and look, but you know what? They never find him. And you know why they never find him? It doesn't say. The book leaves it up to you, the reader, to decide. Then, at the very end, there's a page you can lick and it tastes like Kool-Aid."

—Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts], Recurring Saturday Night Live comedy bit

The Teen Collection at the Library

Document Actions

The Collection's new home is upstairs in front of the magazine reading area.

The Young Adult collection at the Carbondale Public Library is over 9 years old, and is called the Teen collection. Many hundreds of books, both fiction and non-fiction have been purchased for teenagers.

Non-fiction books are shelved along with the adult non- fiction collection. The green and white "TEEN" spine labels make it easier to pick them out.

The new Teen fiction shelves are upstairs near the magazine and graphic novels area.
