Learn, Create, Have Fun!

 

This FREE program is for 5th- 8th grade students. Sign up for one session or all three. We have loads of activities planned for the summer. Participants will be using laptops, ipads, cameras and more. No skills required. To sign up, you can return this form to the library or simply email Wendy Schoof (wschoof@carbondale.lib.il.us). We'll save your child a spot!

Classes are all on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
10:00 am - 11:30 am
 

Session #1 HOW THINGS WORK: June 4, 5, 11, 12 (2 weeks)
Activities include: see how circuits work by making things like a fan and a radio, build and compete in robot challenges, make a clock from recycled parts.

Session #2 EVERYTHING PNG: June 25, 26, July 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17 (4 weeks)
Activities include: learn how to geocache, Lego robotics, learn leadership skills, watch a movie, build an egg bridge.

Session #3 PNG GAMES: July 23, 24, 30, 31 (2 weeks)
Activities include: our very own version of Jeopardy and win prizes, Xbox Kinect games, Minecraft, take part in a scavenger hunt.
